The ‘official’ inaugural SCTC took place in March 2013 at the Sandy Balls Holiday Park in the New Forest. With some beautiful trails through the forest it was the perfect place for 40 runners to get together and talk training!

We were joined by very special guests Martin Yelling, founder of Marathon Talk, his wife and former international athlete Liz Yelling, and very experienced ‘fun runner’ Nell McAndrew who can relate to many of you who may have only just started out on your running path who want to take it a bit further.

With some challenging training sessions and runs all with running guides to take you round at your own pace, our camp goers enjoyed a spot of question of sport in the evening to relax which got quite competitive!

Along with their official SCTC Kit Bag we hope all of the Sandy Balls attendees we able to take some valuable tips and experience from the weekend and look forward to hearing about their progress!
