Another fantastic weekend at Kielder Water, for 2018 the weekend was extended by a day to give our campers time to rest and recover post long run on Sunday, and give them some extra down time to chat with our industry professionals. We also welcomed some very special guests who donated so generously to Children in Need to be part of Chris Evan’s Magnificent 7 Marathon experience.
Our industry professionals included camp regulars Paul Hobrough owner of local physiotherapy clinic Physio & Therapy, and Louise Sutton, lecture in Sport and Exercise nutrition at Leeds Beckett Uni. We also welcomed back Dane Mitchell, Head Strength and Conditioning coach at Leeds Beckett Uni whose dynamic warm up session went down a treat!
Two very special guests joined us for the weekend, international GB athlete and now coach Helen Clitheroedropped in to lead some of our runs and share her experiences. Along with BBC Breakfast presenter and Age Group GB Triathlete Louise Minchin, who chatted to our campers about how you can achieve anything you set your mind to if you put the work in.
2018 saw the very first CRAMMY awards! Congrats to our inaugural winners, watch out campers our running guides are always on the look out for worth winners
Thank you to all of our 2018 campers, we hope to see you again next year!
